Voter Registration
Voter registration forms are made available to students who are Arizona residents each year in ample time for them to register for voting. SAGU AIC does not provide separate registration forms for Native Americans participating in Tribal elections. To participate in Tribal elections, Native American students will need to register with their respective tribes.
You must register to vote at least 29 days before the next election to be able to vote in it.
In Arizona, you can register to vote online, by mail, and in person at your local County Recorder. You can also register to vote in person at an Arizona MVD office while applying for a driver’s license.
NOTE: You will need to show proof of your identity when you visit a polling place on the day of the election.
To qualify for voter registration in Arizona, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be a resident of the Arizona county listed on your registration.
- Be at least 18 years old on or before the date of the next general election.
- NOT be convicted of a felony (or have had your civil rights restored).
- NOT be declared “incompetent” by a court.
