Former AIC Employee Has Passed

Phoenix, Arizona
Rev. Jimmy Dempsey has walked on to his eternal heavenly reward. Over the years Jim served in many capacities at AIC including as Resident Director, Dean of Students, Director of Institutional Research, and as a professor teaching in the area of Missions and Bible. Known for his dry, Southern sense of humor that carefully revealed a great deal of wisdom, Jim was always a favorite instructor to our students.
In addition to his work at AIC, Jim served as pastor, musician, teacher, and author. An especially appreciated work of his wasAmerican Indian College: A Witness to the Tribes , which he co-edited with Dr. Joseph J. Saggio in 2008. Linda and Jim served as Assemblies of God US missionaries to Native Americans they ministered in music and biblical teaching leadership development at Native American churches, and camp meetings across Native America. Our sincere condolences to the Dempsey family. May the Holy Spirit bring comfort and peace that passes all understanding.
Update on funeral for Jim Dempsey:
The arrangements have been made for Jim’s funeral to be Friday, September 9, at 10 AM. The service will be at Rosewood Funeral Home, 2602 South Houston Ave, Humble, TX 77396. Phone 281-441-2171. Also, there will be Visitation on Thursday, September 8 from 5 PM – 8 PM at Rosewood. Please keep the family in your prayers.
