Deferred Payment Plan
In order to complete registration for any semester, SAGU offers all students two options: (1) pay in full at the time of registration, or (2) use the Deferred Payment Plan (DPP). For a small fee of $60, the DPP gives students multiple payment plan options in both the fall and spring terms.
In the fall term, if students do not owe a balance, or if students are completely paid in full, students will be eligible to sign up for a payment plan as early as June. Payment plans can also start in July or August. After the initial down payment (which can be covered by financial aid), the remainder of the balance will be split into equal monthly payments through December.

In the spring term, the DPP can start in either January or February. See the chart below for spring DPP details:

The down payment is different for each student type, based on full-time or part-time status. The down payment for any given semester can be covered by available pending financial aid.
- Full-time residential undergraduate: $2,500
- Full-time distance education: $1,500
- All other student types (graduate, School of Ministry, SAGU-AIC): 1/3 of total semester charges
These DPP options are also coupled with the following policies:
Waived Deferred Payment Plan Fee – In the fall and spring terms, early DPP adopters will receive a waiver of the $60 fee. For the fall term, this means students that sign up in June or July will not be charged the fee. For the spring term, students that sign up in December will not be charged the fee.
Balance Transfer Policy –Students that are completely caught up on a current payment plan will be allowed to sign up for a new payment plan, even if they are not completely paid in full! For example, in December, if students are caught up through the November payment on the payment plan, students will be allowed to sign up for the early spring DPP.
